DAY 2 OF PU RADIO MARATHONWITNESSED EXPERT INSIGHTS

91.2 Jyotirgamaya, Panjab University’s community radio station is running its 72 hour marathon which witnessed many expert interviews on its 2nd day. The day began with yoga guru GyanendraTripathi who talked about importance of yoga for adopting a healthy life style. Then, Mr. RamneekBansal, International faculty of Art of Living talked about knowing yourself and how can you help others.
Special attraction of the day was DSP Traffic Police, Vijay Kumar who presented the shocking figures of traffic offenders. He said, “24100 offenders were challaned for jumping red light, 11239 were challaned for wrong parking, 32893 for not wearing helmet and 15737 for zebra crossing.” He also added, “Through social networking site Facebook, traffic department launched a complaint system few months back. We have taken actions on 2035 complaints out of 2061 total complaints and suggestions registered on the website.”
Gym instructor and pharmacist, PremChoudhary was invited to give insights about the diet and exercise. PremChoudhary was awarded Mr. Chandigarh for 10 times in a row and has also been one of the top runners in Mr. India Bodybuilding championship. “For a healthy human body and sound mind, an individual should have five meals in the entire day. Also, persons engaged in body building should not indulge in steroids as it can have adverse effects on their health”, says, Mr. Choudhary.
Following this,Mrs. LovleenBaidwan, Writer of “Music for the Eyes”, a compilation of poems, also shared her views on the changing phase of the Indian modern women. “Women today have realized their hidden potential and they are out in the competitive world to face all the challenges. They want to break the societal bondages that have stereotyped them”, expressed Lovleen.
The rest of the day shall have talented singers like GautamGaurav and Tanvi who would mesmerize the listeners with their tunes. Jasmeet K Shan, Founder of Dance Dacha, Vinay, a Meditation Facilitator, Vijay Sehgal, Former Editor, Hindi Tribune and Pramod Sharma of Yuvsatta are some of the guests that have been scheduled for Live interviews on 1st January, 2012.
