PUNJAB SEEKS APPLICATIONS FROM EMPLOYEES FOR LIAISON OFFICERS FOR JATHAS TO PAKISTAN

Chandigarh, December 31: The Punjab government has sought applications from state government employees of the rank of Senior Assistant or above for deputing them as Liaison Officers for Sikh/Sehajdhari Sikh pilgrims Jathas to be sent during year 2013.
According to an official spokesman, the Punjab government was expected to send four Jathas for Baisakhi in April 2013, Martyrdom day of Sri Guru Arjun Dev Ji in May 2013, death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh in June 2013 and Gurpurab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in November 2013 to Pakistan.
The spokesman said that interested officers/employees to accompany Jathas as liaison officers would have to send their application through their departmental heads to General Administration department (General Coordination Branch), 6th Floor, Punjab Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh by January 31, 2013.
