Sheikh Farid Jee

Farid-ud-Din Masaud Ganjshakar or, commonly known as Baba Farid, was a 12th-century Sufi preacher and saint of the Chishti Order of South Asia. Baba Sheikh Farid was a muslim saint, whose writings (saloks)) can be found in the Sikh holy scripture Guru Granth Sahib Jee. There are 134 hymns of Sheik Farid incorporated in the Guru Granth Sahib Jee. Outside the Beloved there is no other; we are in Him, and He is in us. Those who see God everywhere, they utter no unpleasant words, nor are they rude or unjust to anyone. Says Farid Ji, ” Speak not sharp to anyone, for thy Master abides in all; break no heart, for precious, too precious are these pearls. Precious like the pearls, is the heart to everyone, so it is vile to hurt. If you seek thy God, then break no heart.”
