YATRAS CONDUCTED BY CONGRESS AND SANJHA MORCHA A SHAM- CM

LAMBI (SRI MUKTSAR SAHIB) DECEMBER 6- Punjab Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal today said that the yatras undertaken by the leaders of opposition parties were nothing more than a sham with the people of the state, as the people organizing them have dubious track record.
Addressing the people here during his Sangat Darshan program, the Chief Minister said that it is the irony of the fate that the people responsible for destruction of the state were carrying out ‘Punjab Bachao Yatra’ and those responsible for humiliating their parent party by defection were carrying out ‘Izzat Bachao Yatra’. He said that in reality the leaders of opposition parties were facing dearth of issues against the SAD-BJP alliance government due to which they have resorted to such cheap tactics of carrying out Yatras. However, the Chief Minister, said that the wise voters of the state would not get persuaded by such methods and would teach them a befitting a lesson to these hypocrite political leaders.
Coming down heavily on the recently concluded Punjab Bachao Yatra by the Congress party, Mr Badal said that the people of state are well aware about the doubtful role played by the leaders of this party in the past adding that the Congress leaders are having a habit of shedding crocodile tears during the polls. “It is impossible for the Punjabis to forget that Congress has ruined the state by taking away its capital, Punjabi speaking areas and due share of water from us” he added.
Likewise, the Chief Minister, also assailed the leaders of Sanjha Morcah for conducting the Izzat Bachao Yatra. He said that said that the leaders of morcha, who have defected their own party, should feel ashamed over their deeds as they have embarrassed their own party by playing in the hands of the Congress. The Chief Minister said that these people must realize that the pride of a person is with the party or family but the manner in which Mr Manpreet Singh Badal had put a blot on Badal family and Shiromani Akali Dal, he has no moral right of taking out such yatra.  Mr Badal said that people of state are well aware of the fact that both these yatras are a deception with them due to which they have not shown any response to it.
Mr Badal lamented that owing to the anti-farmer policies of the Congress led Union government the peasantry of the state has been ruined. He said that due to the faulty policies of the Union government to compensate the farmers, who had suffered due to natural disaster, the farmers of the region have lost their crop owing to floods have been ruined. He said that it was ironical that on one hand the UPA government was only rendering Rs 1500 per acre as compensation to a farmer if 100% of its crop had destroyed due to natural disaster but on the other hand it was showering the tax payer’s money to bailout out the big MNCs.
Listing out the achievements of the SAD-BJP alliance government in the state, the Chief Minister said that state has witnessed a new era of unparallel development in the state during the last more then four years of their rule. He further said that unprecedented development has taken place in the state especially in sectors of Health, education and basic Infra structure adding that due to untiring efforts of their government the state would soon become a power surplus state. He also said that the for the first time in the history of state a whopping budget has been kept for giving facilities under the social security to the poor people. Likewise he said that for the first time in history of the state Rs 4000 crore has been spent on the providing basic civic amenities to the cities across the state.
During the Sangat Darshan program the Chief Minister disbursed a grant of Rs 2 crore for developmental works in 8 villages of the Lambi constituency. Mr Badal also gave bicycles to the school going girl students under ‘Mai Bhago Vidya Scheme’ at village Bodi Wala Kharak Singh.
