PUNJAB GOVERNMENT APPOINTS ANIL KAUSHIK AS NEW DGP

CHANDIGARH (Bharatsandeshnews) – The Punjab Government today appointed Mr. Anil Kaushik, a 1975 batch IPS Officer and presently DGP/Prisons as new Director General of Police (DGP). Mr. Kaushik would succeed Mr. Paramdeep Singh Gill, Director General of Police, after his superannuation on September 30.
          Mr. Kaushik had served as ASP Ropar, SP Headquarters Jalandhar, SP Detective Hoshiarpur, SP Headquarter Bathinda, SP (D) Amritsar, SSP Ropar and Ferozepur, DIG CID-Intelligence, DIG CRPF in Punjab, J&K and Tripura. He also remained IG/ Zonal, Patiala , Additional Director General of Police Crime and ADG Security. On April 28, 2009 he was promoted as DGP and posted as DGP/Prisons. Mr. Kaushik has been awarded with Police Medal for Meritorious Services in 1998 and President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Services in 2007.
