LUDHIANA (Bharat sandesh) – The Punjab Agricultural University Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Baldev Singh Dhillon has condoned the death of famous play write and performer S. Gursharan Singh who had created social awakening through his street plays. S. Gursharan Singh had been closely associated with Punjabi Theatre for the last 60 years and portrayed the bloom and gloom of people through his street plays, he said adding that he also highlighted social evils through his plays.
In a meeting held in the Centre for Communication and International Linkages under the Chairmanship of Additional Director Communication, Dr. Jagtar Singh Dhiman, the PAU Young Writers Association and PAU Sahit Sabha members and university teachers-Dr. Jaswinder Bhalla, Dr. Nirmal Jaura, Sh. Gurbhajan Gill, Dr. Anil Sharma and Dr. Gulzar Pandher paid tributes to the departed soul.
