Government should take strict action against illegal drug peddlers: Bittu
Chandigarh (Bharat Sandesh) – Punjab government should take strict action against the illegal drug peddlers to prevent the youth of Punjab. The formation of drug prevention board is a historical step which the government of Punjab has initiated after the youth congress sat on indefinite hunger strike at Ludhiana. Welcoming the move, S Ravnit Singh Bittu MP said that the Punjab government after delaying the matter for formation of drug prevention board for more than five months, has now formed it by announcing the members of the board.
Bittu said that it was the vision of Sh Rahul Gandhi who took this initiative to save the younger generation of Punjab from the clutches of drugs and youth congress sat on indefinite hunger strike for more than 10 days in Ludhiana. He asked the chief minister of Punjab S Parkash Singh Badal to personally monitor the working of this board and try to eradicate this evil from the state. Bittu said that he will also personally monitor the working of the board and any kind of liberal attitude towards the culprits would not be tolerated.
