Amritsar – 7-day NSS camp at BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar commenced today. On this auspicious occasion, Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra gave a floral welcome to the Chief Guest Mrs. Renu Bala from the Department of Sanskrit of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. After this, Havan Ceremony was performed in the presence of the Chief Guest, NSS volunteer students and staff of BBK DAV College. Applauding the students for their volunteer contribution to the camp, Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra encouraged them to actively take part in such camps and to continue doing work for the betterment of the society.
The Chief Guest enlightened the students with her knowledge, she made them aware of the Veidc Values. The session was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. In the end, Ms. Harpreet Dusanjh, NSS PO threw light on the events which will happen across the seven days of the camp. Few of the highlights will be visit to Red Cross, Qila Jiwan Singh Village, Pingalwara etc. Joy giving week will also be celebrated. Ms. Harpreet Dusanjh, Mrs. Jaspreet Bedi, Ms. Sapna Gupta, Mr. Amkur Sharma, Mr. Kanwarpal Singh, Ms. Nagaz Bubber, Ms. Mehak Arora, Ms. Aashima, Ms. Anupreet Narang and Mr. Chandan Aggarwal will be all working as a team to make NSS camp successful.
