Amritsar – DAV Red Cross School for special children New Tehsilpura, Amritsar was honoured with state Award by Mrs. Laxmi Kant Chawla, Hon’ble Minister of Social Justice, Women and Child Welfare, Punjab. This award was given on the occasion of senior citizen day and disability day at Mansa. Alongwith the award, the school was given cash prize of Rs. 25,000/- (Twenty Five Thousand Only).
Manager of the school Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra told that school was given this award for the remarkable work done for the upliftment of the disabled, under the able guidance of Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar and Chairman of the school, Sh. Poonam Suri, Secretary DAV CMC, New Delhi, Sh. J.P. Shoor, Director Public Schools & Aided Schools, Mrs. Neera Sharma, Principal and officiating Headmistress Mrs. Simmi Luthra.
