Amritsar – Today was the second day of the 7-day NSS camp being organized by BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar. The day kicked off with the visit to Pingalwara and eventually ended with the trip to Qila Jiwan Singh village.
Highlight of the Pingalwara visit has been the interactive session of Bibi Inderjeet Kaur, head of Pingalwara with NSS volunteers of BBK DAV College for Women. The intellectual lady gave an insight to the human values which has been an eye-opener for the students Amritsar and the staff of the college, namely; Ms. Hapreet Dusanjh, Mrs. Jaspreet Bedi, Mrs. Sapna Gupta, Mr. Kanwar Pal Singh, Ms. Anupreet Narang, Mr. Chandan Aggarwal, Ms. Mehak Arora, Ms. Nagaz Bubber, Ms. Aanchal Arora and Ms. Aashima.
When asked coordinators of NSS, Ms.Harpreet Dusangh, Mrs. Sapna Gupta and Mrs. Jaspreet Bedi, they said that they always relish couple of hours spent amidst of orphans and special children. It lightens their heart to see a smile on the faces of children.
NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, Red Cross Unit along with staff of BBK also visited Qila Jiwan singh village. Ms Priyanka Chugh, President of NSS Unit gave an informatory session on legal rights to students and women at the middle school of the village. In the end of the lecture, all the queries of the villagers related to legal rights were also looked upon. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra appreciated the tremendous effort and creative abilities of the NSS Volunteer.
