Guru Nanak Dev University organized Lecturer on Indian Education policy and Guru Nanak Dev ji

Amritsar – The Department of Guru Nanak Studies of the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar has organised a special Lecturer in the memory of Principal Iqbal Singh here today in the Conference Hall of the University.
Prof. Devinder Singh from Mumbai delivered this lecture on “Indian Education policy and Guru Nanak Dev ji,”. He Described the demerit of today’s education system. He said we do not need ‘White collar’ Clerks but we need good humans. Our education should be produce the man for betterment of society. In this scenario we have to see towards teachings of our great Gurus.
Dr. Jaswinder  Singh Dhillon, Principal, Khalsa College of Education, Amritsar said that we can find  a complete education system for modern man from the Gurbani of Guru Nanak Dev ji. He added that it is unfortunate that we have opened the educational institutions on the name of Guru Nanak Dev ji, but none of us have ever tried to implement the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji for making education policy.
Dr. Gursharanjit Singh head of Guru Nanak Studies described the contribution of University in Sikh Studies. He told that the Guru Nanak Dev ji was the only original thinker after those centuries, who guided the humanity in all spheres of life. The views of Guru Nanak Dev ji are more relevant today. Dr. Mandeep Kaur Dhillon of Sidava College of education has also presented her paper on the occasion.
                   Dr. Harbhajan Singh Deol, Prof. Balwant Singh Dhillon, Dr. Jaswinder Kaur Dhillon, Dr. Shashi Bala, Dr. Manvinder Singh and many other scholars and students participated in the debate.
