Khalsa College student national Kabaddi champion

Amritsar – Khalsa College’s student Gurdial Singh, a budding national Kabaddi player has earned laurels not only for the College but whole of the state as he is the sole representative in national junior Kabaddi team, which has won Gold Medal in the Junior Asian National Style Championship, held at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia recently. He is student of B.A. I at the College and was welcomed by College Principal Dr.Daljit Singh, after his return from Malaysia here today at the college campus.
While Principal congratulated him for the great success in the sports arena, he also said that such students were role models for the other sportspersons. He said the Khalsa College is not only a leading educational institution but had been doing a yeoman’s service to the national sports as well. Coach of Gurdial Singh, Shemsher Singh said he is a raider and one of the primary member of the national team that has earned it name at the international level now.
During the welcome ceremony Arjuna Awardee in Kabaddi Hardip Singh was also present and they all congratulated the sportsman for the achievement.
