Amritsar – The Zonal Youth Festival of zone ‘C’ of the Guru Nanak Dev University inaugurated here today in the Dashmesh Auditorium of the University.
Dr. Rajinderjit Kaur Pawar, Dean, Academic Affairs inaugurated the festival by lighting Candles. Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Director Youth Welfare welcomed the chief guest and student-artists. She also introduced Dr. Rajinderjit Kaur Pawar to the students and honoured him with a memento on this occasion.
Dr. Pawar while addressing the student-artists said that the artists have their own importance to influences the audience with their performance. She said that youth festivals are the adequate platform to depict the social evils prevailing in our society. She said that through these festivals students utilized their energy for constructive purpose and gets rid of drugs.
Dr. Jagjit Kaur said that more than 22 affiliated colleges of Jalandhar district are participating in the items of Music, Theatre, Dance, Literary & Fine Arts. This festival would conclude on October 10.
