BHOOMI PUJAN OF SAINIK SADAN ON OCTOBER 10

Chandigarh – A long pending requirement of a composite Sainik Sadan which shall be a one stop shop for all the requirements of Ex-servicemen of this region said Col Harvinderpal Singh, Director Sainik Welfare, Punjab. It shall house a Training Academy for the Ex-servicemen and their wards for various courses including Computer/IT Courses, Personality Development Courses, Training for Civil Services etc. It shall also have a CSD Outlet, ECHS Polyclinic District Sainik Welfare Office, Mohali and Sainik Rest House and residential accommodation for the students under training.
            Punjab Chief Minister Mr.  Parkash Singh Badal, has very kindly consented to perform the Bhumi Pujan and start the construction of this Sainik Sadan. Col Singh expressed his gratitude and said that this has been made possible only due to timely allotment of funds by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Punjab. This Sainik Sadan is being constructed on a very prime piece of land of Appx 1.77 acres in the heart of Mohali and very close to the upcoming International Air Port, Railway Station and Bus Stand. This shall work as a unique hub of all requirements of Ex-servicemen of Punjab. The Ex-servicemen fraternity is grateful to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Punjab for his generous thinking towards the Ex-Servicemen of Punjab.
2. On this day a State level Ex-servicemen rally is also being held where a large number of Ex-servicemen ,Serving officers, Gallantry Award Winners, Veer Naris & their wards, are being addressed by CM, Punjab. The function will be presided over by Capt Balbir Singh Bath, Minister for Defence Services Welfare, Punjab.
