CHANDIGARH – The University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Panjab University (PU), started its experiments towards the cause of Environment Sustainability. In line with this vision SAEINDIA northern section introduces the EFFI-CYCLE in 2011 to be hosted by UIET from 14th October to 16th October.SAENIS EFFI-CYCLE 2010 hosted by the same Institute (won by Naval College of engineering) was a successful event which inspired SAE to carry forward the idea which resulted in SAENIS EFFI-CYCLE 2011. SAENIS EFFI-CYCLE is a collegiate design competition where 37 teams from various engineering colleges across India would design, fabricate, and validate an electrically assisted human power driven vehicle, capable of seating two persons, catering to the day-to-day mobility needs. SAEINDIA, the Indian chapter of Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE), a global non profitable organization involved in identifying ideas and innovations for advancing the engineering of mobility systems, has envisioned promoting environment friendly technologies. These vehicles would be engineered to comply with the fundamentals of ergonomics at the same time being dynamically stable. Static and dynamic testing of these vehicles would reveal the craftsmen ship of the teams, the design intent and the ability to endure and perform. The endurance test would test the vehicle for its ability to last, given the punishment of the challenging tracks. You are cordially invited to attend this enthusiastic student driven event.
