Vet. Varsity Youth festival showcased Clay Modeling and Rangoli Making arts

Ludhiana – 2nd Youth  festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary &Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana today witnessed Clay Modeling and Rangoli Making competitions. Dr. Devinder Singh  Cheema, Director Student welfare PAU inaugurated Clay Modeling competition. Dr. Cheema was very much impressed on the beautiful creations of clay.  He said that this type of artistic expressions from science students were beyond his thoughts.  Dr. Arun Patil from RTM Nagpur University was guest of honor on the occasion. He is also observer of north zone Inter varsity youth festival.
Dr. Darshan Singh Aulakh organizing secretary of festival said that in morning session Clay Modeling competition was held. Total 10 students participated among them 04 were girls and 06 boys. The subjects for clay modeling were ‘Love and Affection’, ‘Punjabi Culture’ and ‘Musical instrument with man or woman’.  The afternoon session was of Rangoli Making.       Dr. P. D. Juyal registrar GADVASU was chief guest for this competition. In this competition 08 Students 07 Girls and 01 boy participated. In first competitions three colleges of university participated alongwith School of Animal Biotechnology.  GADVASU affiliated college, Khalsa College of Veterniary and Animal Sciences Amritsar also participated in both the competition.  In second competition school of Animal Biotechnology didn’t participated.
Dr. Meera D. Ansal convener of fine arts committee said that fine arts events of the youth festival have been completed. The results of all competitions will be on final day of youth festival. Tomorrow’s competitions will be of Debate, Elocution, Extempore, Quiz, Poetic Recitation, and Hass-Rass. The venue of these events will be Student Home PAU.
