CHANDIGARH- The Punjab Government today appointed the renowned Industrialist Mr. Kamal Oswal as Industrial Advisor to the Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal with immediate effect.
Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that formal orders to this effect would be issued shortly.
It may be recalled that Mr. Kamal Oswal belongs to well known Rs. 3500 crore. Punjab based Industrial Group in Ludhiana, popularly known as OWM Nahar Group. He is presently, the Vice-Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Nahar Industrial Enterprises Ltd. and MD Cotton County Retail Ltd, besides the Director on the Board of several companies viz. Oswal wollen Mills, Nahar Spinning Mills, Nahar Poly films, Nahar Capital & Financial Services and Monte Carlo Fashions Ltd. Having a vast experience of 29 years in Industry dealing in cotton yarn, cotton fabric and sugar, Mr. Kamal Oswal was also nominated as member of Consumer Grievance Committee of State Electricity Board. OWM Nahar Group has given employment to more than 30000 persons directly or indirectly in Punjab.
