A team headed by District Controller Food and Civil Supplies inspected the wholesale godown at Theog today on the direction of Sh. Ramesh Dhawala, Food and Civil Supplies Minister who had made a surprise visit to the godown yesterday. The inspecting team pointed out some irregularities while inspecting the store.
Sh. Ramesh Dhawala directed the Zonal Manager and District Controller Food and Civil Supplies to conduct detailed inspections of all the wholesale godowns and fair price shops of District Shimla and find out whether they were in proper order. He directed them to take serious action against the erring officers and depot holders. He also asked them to take serious action against the Incharge/Assistant of Theog godown where irregularities were found.
The Minister issued directions to ensure maintenance of summary registers (Form-D) in all the depots and to comply with the directions issued from time to time for proper functioning of the department.
