LUDHIANA- The Society for Recent Development in Agriculture (SRDA) has bestowed “Kunwar Saxena Bahadur SRDA Award 2011” upon PAU Processing Engineer, Dr Mohammed Shafiq Alam for his meritorious services and outstanding contributions in the field of Processing and Food Engineering. Dr Alam was presented the award at the “International Conference on Issues for Climate Change, Land Use Diversification and Biotechnological Tools for Livelihood Security (ICLDBT- 2011)” held at Sardar Vallahbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology (SVPUA&T) from October 8-10.
Having an excellent academic and professional record, Dr Alam is a recipient of many prestigious awards such as “Lal Bahadur Shastri Young Scientist Award” by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), “Young Scientist Award” by Punjab Academy of Sciences, etc. Recently, his biography has been included for publication in Marquis Who’s Who in Science and Engineering (11th Edition), USA.
