LUDHIANA- Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana and US Company Syngenta has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen research and extension programmes. In a formal function held today in VC’s Committee Room, PAU Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Baldev Singh Dhillon and Managing Director of Syngenta for South Asia, Mr. Akshay Kamat signed the agreement. All Deans, Directors and Officers of the University and a delegation from Syngenta attended the meeting.
In his address, Dr. Dhillon said Punjab farmers have made great contribution towards national food security and collaboration with one of the leading Company of the world dealing in pesticides and the seeds would help us to achieve new milestones. In his comments, Mr. Kamat said that his Company feels proud to work with the India’s leading farm University which played a key role in bringing green revolution in India.
