Chandigarh, 15 October: A book on Urdu Mushiarian translated in Punjabi by Secretary, Sikh Educational Society & Punjabi Poet Col(Retd.) Jasmer Singh Bala was released during a today at SGGS College, Chandigarh in a glorious function.
Cabinet Minister for Cultural Affairs, Punjab S.Hira Singh Gabaria said these days love, affection, honesty & human values are dying. He stressed on human values to be saved. S.Gabaria said this book will generate an interest in life & human values to the readers.
There is need to transfer and pass on our rich heritage culture to the new generation of our nation, said S.Gadaria. He said that the Punjab Govt. is planning to protect & enrich our rich culture & will honour the persons or organisations which is contributing in safeguarding our rich culture.
The publisher Mr.Satish Jain said these Urdu Mushiarian are collected from different seventeen Mushiarian held at various locations at Delhi in the past. He collected various hand written notes and tried to give a shape of the book. Mr.Jain said this was a very tough job to translate the scripts which Col(Retd.)J.S.Bala has done in a very significant way. Col Bala has contributed his hard work over the period of two years and created a landmark in the field of poetry.
Great Urdu Poet Sardar Anjum was also grace the occasion. Sardar Anjum said about Col Bala that he has interest in Poetry since their Childhood when they were together at younger age. Mr.Anjum also shared his few Gazals with the audience. S.Harnarinder Singh, ex-Chairman, Punjab School Education Board and Prof.Suroop Singh has also expressed their views. S. Gurdev Singh, President, Sikh Educational Society, thanks the honourable Guest & Speaker reached all over from the India. Further he promised that we will continue to contribute in the field of educations & culture to strengthen our new generation. Dr.Jaswinder Singh, SGGS College conducted the stage during the function.
