Amritsar- Mr. Vimal Setia, District Trasport Officer inaugurated the Zonal Youth Festival of Educaitonal Colleges by lighting Candles here today in the Dashmesh Auditorium of the University. Educational colleges affliated to the University are participating in 24 items of Music, Theatre, Dance, Literary & Fine Arts. This festival would be concluded on October 23.
Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Director Youth Welfare welcomed the chief guest and student-artists. She also honoured Mr. Setia with a memento on this occasion.
Mr. Setia while addressing the student-artists said that youth plays vital role in development of the society. He said that the artists have their own importance to influences the audience with their performance. He said that youth festivals are the adequate platform to depict the social evils prevailing in our society. He said that through these festivals students utilized their energy for constructive purpose and gets rid of drugs.
