Guru Nanak Dev University organized lecture on Problems of Indian Women marrying with the NRIs

Amritsar – The Department of Laws  of the Guru Nanak Dev University organized a lecture on Problems of Indian Women who go to USA after marrying with the NRI’s’ , here today in the Conference Hall of Guru Nanak Bhavan of the University.  This lecture was delivered by Ms. Anu Peshawaria, President and Founder of Immigration and Business Services Inc of United State of America.
Dr. Jaspal Singh, Head of Law Department welcomed the chief guest and Mr. N.K. Sharma, Chairman, Diamond Books New Delhi. About 200 students and all the faculty members were also present on this occasion.
Ms. Anu Peshawaria in her lecture talked about the major problems faced by women after marriage to NRI’s at abroad. She said that precautions must be taken before marrying daughters to NRIs. She said that necessary enquiry should also be done thourgh their native High Commisions.
Dr. Jaspal Singh introduced Ms. Anu to the audience. He said that she is an immigration consultant in the United States of America and has her practice in Fremont, California and is a practicing advocate for the Supreme Court of India as well. He said that she is currently legal professional/advisor to CCA, Embassy of India, Washington DC and consulates in San Francisco, Chicago, Houston and New York. Ms. Anu is real sister of Dr. Kiran Bedi based in San Francisco, California. Dr. Viney Kapoor, Reader also delivered his views on this occasion.
Dr. Jaspal Singh also released a book titled ‘LIVES ON THE BRINK’ written by Ms Anu Peshawaria and published by Diamond Books. Dr. Rattan Singh gave vote of thanks.
