The Youth Red Cross Training-cum-Study Camp was organized in Kurukshetra (Haryana) at Jat Dharamshala from 14-10-2011 till 19-10-2011. The purpose of the Red Cross is to help the injured and needy people; hence different activities performed during this camp were also related to First Aid, Yoga, and Traffic rules. Six Volunteers from BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, Aabha Duggal, Deepika Shingari Pardeep Kaur, Parampreet Kaur, Anupurna and Amandeep accompanied by two counselors Deepika Vig and Sandeep Kaur participated in this camp. Students won prizes such as first prize in declamation, consolation prize in poetry, third prize in folk song and quiz competition as well as Deepika Shingari has got best volunteer award.
