A Chandigarh Lahore Peace Forum Launched

Chandigarh – Today, to promote people to people dialogue and exchange programmes, at UT Guest House, Chandigarh, two NGO’s namely Yuvsatta from Chandigarh and Institute for Peace & Secular Studies at Lahore joined hands to launch a Chandigarh Lahore Peace Forum.
Giving information about the initiative Pramod Sharma, Coordinator of Yuvsatta shared that they believe in promoting sustainable peace in the sub-continent that counts young people in both countries as change makers, for which continuity in contacts is essential for better understanding and removal of misgivings. As differences should be understood and not fought.
Prominent amongst those who joined this newly formed Peace Forum in Chandigarh includes SK Setia, HCS, Prof.  Akshaya Kumar, President, PUTA, AS Paul from Punjab Book Centre, Reeta Kohli, Addl. Advocate General, Punjab, Prof. Kanwaljit Dillon, Journalists Sanjay Sharma, Shayada, Vandana Shukla, Khushboo Sandhu & Ashish Rampal, Vikas Chatrath, Advocate, Pramod Sharma & Jyotika Badyal from Yuvsatta.
To strengthen the dialogue and relationships in days to come they intend to organize talks on need of Indo-Pak Relations, host visits of different groups like teachers, advocates, artists, theatre groups, musicians, students, journalists, Doctors, businessmen and migrated families.
To bridge the gaps and surpass the present visa policy they’re also launching a facebook page with the name of ‘Chandigarh Lahore Peace Forum’ and also intend to organize Skype talks between people of India and Pakistan.
