Faridkot – Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal today said that Congress had abandoned Yatra route and adopted rally approach to save the party from disgrace, with Amarinder waiving to its empty lanes in Punjab.
Speaking to media persons before inaugurating India- Germany Kabaddi match here today, Mr. Badal said that Amarinder has a inherent aversion to visit villages and expose himself to the sun and sweating smell of ordinary masses. He said that Congress party has deliberately avoided Yatra fearing Zero response from the public besides saving their leader from heat and sweat of dusty lanes of Punjab villages. He said that S. Parkash Singh Badal loves to remain in villages interact with them and solve their problems but a leader who avoids villages has no moral right to govern Punjab.
Describing the Talwandi Sabo rally of Congress party a total flop Mr. Badal said that people gather to listen positive agenda of a party and not the abuses. He said that rally has exposed the deep divisions in the party and party that cannot project it self united in a single rally, cannot dream of come into power with the fragmented base.
When asked about the abusive language used by Captain in his rally, Mr. Badal said that increasing shrillness of abuses by the Congress camp reflect their increasing frustration, with seeing writing on the wall that Congress cannot come to power for next 25 years. He said that Congress has always played negative politics as they do not have a single positive achievement of their tenure to talk about on the stage. He said that it people want to listen abuses for next five years, want to get Bathinda refinery closed, want to get close all Thermal Plants and big industries, they can vote Congress in the next elections. He said that SAD BJP Government was seeking mandate on the bases of their performance in last 4 and a half years and people of Punjab have made up their mind to continue development oriented government for next 25 years.
Challenging Amarinder to spell out development agenda for next five years and list out his single achievement of his tenure, Mr. Badal said that people of Punjab were fed up of vendetta politics of Congress party and they cannot listen the language of Lathis being used by Congress leader.
When asked about election strategy of SAD BJP Government Mr. Badal said that both parties would soon collectively chalk out the coalition agenda of next five years.
When asked about Izzat Bachao Yatra of Sanjha Morcha, Mr. Badal said that this Yatra was aimed at salvaging the Izzat of constituents of Sanjha Morcha as Zero plus Zero cannot make a positive number.
Earlier inaugurating the tournament Mr. Badal reiterated the resolve of SAD BJP Government to bring Kabaddi at International level especially for Olympic 2016 in Brazil.
Moved by the plight of wheelchair bound Kabaddi Player Jaspreet Kaur of Faridkot district , Mr. Badal handed over a cheque of Rs. One Lakh to her.
