Dr. S Ravichandran Advocate & Head, Academic Initiatives at Surana & Surana International Attorney’s Chennai, is on a three day visit to Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala, Punjab. The purpose of the visit is to sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law for organising Surana & Surana Trial Advocacy National Moot Court Competition which is organised by Surana & Surana International Attorney’s every year in collaboration with various law schools. Prof. Dr. Paramjit S. Jaswal, Vice Chancellor Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dr. S Ravichandran for organising the Surana & Surana Trial Advocacy National Moot Court Competition (North India Round) for a period of three years. The Surana trial Advocacy moot is a prestigious national level moot court competition in which teams from all over India participates on a large scale. It has a unique format in which witnesses are being called and are being cross-examined thereby creating a true trial scenario not only in substantive provisions but as a part of procedural provisions. In addition to the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Dr. S Ravichandran also delivered lectures on Intellectual Property Rights: A Marxian View in which he explained the existence of Intellectual Property in the theory given by Karl Marx. He also had a two hour discussions with the students on the fundamentals of mooting in which he discussed the skills involved in mooting, the advantages of mooting etc.
