CHANDIGARH – Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today greeted the Punjabis living in the country and abroad on the auspicious occasion of Parkash Utsav of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji.
In his message on the eve of Gurpurb, Mr.Badal said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji was a great spiritual ambassador who showed us the path of salvation by spreading the message of oneness of God, love, compassion, peace and unity amongst the mankind. Guru ji motivated the humanity with new ideas, aims, aspirations and exhorted them to dispense with the maladies of hypocrisy, falsehood, pretensions and caste-prejudices. "Guru ji’s teachings are very relevant in today’s world especially in the present complex and materialistic society", said Mr. Badal.
The Chief Minister appealed the people to imbibe the spirit of selfless service and humility as preached by the Great Guru and strive hard to carve out a peaceful, prosperous and harmonious society by following the teachings of Guru ji and celebrate this occasion with utmost devotion and religious fervor rising above the parochial considerations of caste, colour, creed and religion.
