LUDHIANA, NOVEMBER 26: A "Guava Show-cum-Seminar" will be organized by the varsity Department of Horticulture on November 28 at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Fruit Research Station, Bahadurgarh, Patiala. The programme will be sponsored by National Horticulture Mission (NHM). Dr M.S. Gill, Director of Extension Education, PAU, will be the chief guest while Dr T.S. Thind, Additional Director Research (Agriculture), PAU will preside over the show. Dr L.S. Brar, Director, Horticulture, Punjab, will speak on the Status of Horticulture and role of NHM in Punjab, on this occasion. Giving programme outline, Dr P.S. Aulakh, Head, Department of Horticulture, said that the seminar will witness deliberations on importance and status of guava in Punjab, crop regulation in guava, weed management in guava orchards, post-harvest handling of guava, insect pest of guava and diseases of guava with focus on their management.
