Children’s Science Congress begins at Khalsa College

Amritsar, November 29, 2011: The three-day-long 19th state level Children’s Science Congress 2011 on the theme ‘Land Resources’ today began at Khalsa College’s Sardar Sundar Singh Majithia Hall. The Congress is being organized by the College with collaboration of Punjab State Council for Science and Technology (PSCST) Department said Khalsa College Principal, Dr. Daljeet Singh. Nearly 350 students and over 100 teachers from all over the state are participated in the event which will conclude on December 1.
The scientific projects prepared by the students on the main theme and six other sub-themes would be presented before the judges in three days and out these 16 projects would be selected to be sent to national level Children’s Science Congress 2011 said Programme-Coordinator, Dr. Jasjeet K. Randhawa. Dr. Kulbir Singh Bath from PSCST said the children were showing immense interest in the Congress.
