Ludhiana-06-Dec, 2011 : Dr. Kulbir Singh Sandhu Director of Extension Education of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) Ludhiana has been offered two important and prestigious assignments. A communiqué from Govt. of Punjab appointed him member of Punjab Public Service Commission whereas he also got an offer from Food and Agriculture Organization of UNO as National Consultant Surveillance.
Dr. Sandhu is PhD from Canada under Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship and Advance training from USA. He is winner of five prestigious awards for outstanding research from Canadian University and three from India. He has 26 years experience as university Professor both in India and internationally. An administrator of great repute Dr. Sandhu has 11 years experience in administration on the positions like Head of the department, Director of Student welfare cum Estate officer, Dean Post Graduate Studies, and presently working as Director of Extension Education in GADVASU. He also worked as Clinical Microbiologist and visiting Professor in Canadian university. He has been published 60 research papers in National and International journals and writer of one book and one book chapter in foreign book. As a renowned teacher he Guided 6 MVSc and 2 PhD students.
