BADAL TERMS THE CLAIMS OF CONGRESS LEADERSHIP REGARDING THE DEVELOPMENT OF STATE DURING THEIR REGIME AS ‘BUNCH OF LIES’

GIDDERBAHA (SRI MUKTSAR SAHIB), DECEMBER 7: Punjab Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal today termed the claims made by the Congress leadership regarding the development of state during their regime as nothing more than a ‘bunch of lies’. Talking to the news men on the sidelines of the Sangat Darshan program
of the Gidderbaha Assembly segment, the Chief Minister said that the tall claims regarding the development of state made by the Congress leadership were hollow as no development has taken place in Punjab during their tenure. He said that baffled by the tremendous development of the state in the current SAD-BJP regime the Congress
leadership was now trying to mislead the people by making such claims. Mr Badal said that the Congress have realized that all their steps to influence the voters have failed due to which now they have started chanting the record of development during their term. However he said that wise voters of the state were well aware of the fact that
Congress had done nothing for welfare of the state due to which only they were trounced badly in last state assembly elections. Slamming the Congress party the Chief Minister said that the previous regime led by Captain Amarinder Singh had done nothing more than stopping the welfare schemes started by the SAD-BJP government. Similarly he said that hardly any tangible progress was made in field of education, health or in that of power.  Mr Badal further said that rather than providing employment to the unemployed youth of the state, the Captain overnment had imposed a blanket ban on fresh recruitment in government services, which was lifted by SAD-BJP government after assuming power and around 1 lakh youth were given regular employment in a transparent manner. The Chief Minister reiterated that the present regime of SAD-BJP government was the golden era of state as it has witnessed unprecedented development in the state in all the fields whether it was of education, health, power or infra structure. Earlier addressing the gathering the Chief Minister said that Congress had always meted out a step motherly treatment with the state adding that it has ruined the state by irrelevantly meddling in its social, political, economic and even religious affairs. Mr Badal also said that the Congress was responsible for snatching away the capital
of state and the its due share of river water, due to which Punjabis could never forgive it.
Training his guns against former Punjab Minister and PPP leader Mr Manpreet Singh Badal, the Chief Minister said that he had deceived his mother party Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) at the behest of Congress and some agencies, who want to derail the process of development in the state. However Mr Badal said that the people of state would not allow such anti-Punjab plans to be successful and they would teach a befitting lesson to the forces opposing the interests of the state. He reiterated that by leaving SAD Mr Manpreet Singh Badal had committed political suicide as the people of Punjab would teach him a lesson for defecting his mother party, in coming polls. “Manpreet and his morcha will meet the same fate as that of the front which had unsuccessfully contested SGPC elections against SAD with the help of Congress” he added.
Striking an emotional chord with the people of constituency, the Chief Minister  said that he was having a spiritual relationship with the segment as due to their support he had fought against the tyranny of  the Union governments in the past. He exhorted the people to support the SAD-BJP alliance government so that an era of unparalleled development of the state could be continued.
