Patiala December 7: The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal today charged Congress led UPA Government of discriminating against Punjab by sanctioning Rs. 8750 crore package West Bengal and denying the same to Punjab whereas the case of both states were put up for package. Mr. Badal charged Amarinder for scuttling the package for Punjab as he had earlier done by stalling the release of urban development loan for Punjab. Blowing the election bugle the Shiromani Akali Dal President today said that going by the mood of the people, the SAD BJP Government is set to sweep ensuing Vidhan Sabha Elections winning more than 90
seats. Addressing the biggest ever rally in Patiala with surging crude of 60000 supporters on the 4th day of Maha Vikas Yatra at Urban Estate here today Mr. Badal said that people of this country were totally fed up from the unprecedented price rise inflicted by Congress led UPA government that was working for filling the coffers of multinational companies. He said that besides multi-lakh crore corruption, reluctance to bring back lacs of crores rupees of Amarinder and other Congress leaders deposited in  Swiss Banks, has proved that Congress is another replica of East Indian Company that was looting the people and depositing the taxpayers money abroad. He said that people of  Punjab were also comparing the non governance period of 5 years of Amarinder versus people and development oriented rule of SAD BJP
Government and were itching to decimate Congress from electoral scene. Exhorting the people to make a judicious choice between full time Chief Minister and non working Chief Minister, Mr.Badal said that people have to make a choice between S.Parkash Singh Badal who starts working at 4 am in the morning till late night and between a drunk Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh who had to be woken up at 12 noon and who again gets drunk with the onset of evening. Enthused by massive response of Vikas Yatra being witnessed throughout in Punjab Mr. Badal said that overwhelming response reflect the people’s vote for development agenda of SAD BJP Government. Mr. Badal said that it was the 4th day of Vikas Yatra and unprecedented rallies have been witnessed in Mullanpur Dakha, Sunam ,Ajnala and today in Patiala. He said that the kind of response people of Patiala have shown in this rally reflect the fact that Maharaja Patiala would remain confined to Moti Mehal for whole life. Mr. Badal said that Congress party that banned recruitment during their term, stalled Bathinda refinery for five years, not added a single unit of power during their term should not dream to come to the power in Punjab for next 25 years. He said that under SAD BJP Government, the Punjab has registered unprecedented leaps on the development front. He said that by investing more than Rs.10000 crore on upgrading road infrastructure, Rs.80000 crore on power generation front, Rs.3700 crore on power transmission network, Rs. 3337 crore on irrigation network, Rs. 1800 crore on relining the minors , the SAD BJP Government has shown its passion and commitment for development. He said that first time in the history of Punjab that more than youth got employment in government sector totally on merit. In contrast Amarinder banned recruitment and never made a single regular recruitment. What to call of attracting investment in Punjab, the Captain stalled the work on Rs. 19000 crore Bathinda refinery initiated by S. Parkash Singh Badal. Showing the history of treachery of Maharaja Patiala’s family Mr. Badal reminded the people that Maharajas ancestors gave logistic support to Mohammad Shah Abdali in lynching 35000 Sikhs in Kup Rahira in Wada Ghalughara and now Maharaja was carrying forward the tradition of his ancestors by joining hands with those leaders, who were responsible for 1984 carnage of Sikhs. He said that Sikhs cannot forget the history and would never vote for a party that was responsible for killing thousands for unarmed Sikhs. Later talking to media persons Mr. Badal said that Shiromani Akali Dal would strongly appose censorship on social network media being imposed by Congress led UPA Government. He said that constitution of India given fundamental right of expression to every citizen of country and freedom of press was dear to every one. He said that censorship was imposed only in dictatorship and not in democracies and SAD would not allow backdoor censorship of press.  He said that
Facebook and other social networking sites were being primarily used by youth who were expressing their pentup anger in their “status” or “tweets” on face book or twitter against the multi-lakh crore scams indulged by UPA Government besides exposing its non performance on every front. He said that now Congress party was panicy seeing the public mood and was trying to scuffle the people’s opinion. When asked about finalization of candidates MR. Badal said that prospective candidates in most of the cases have already been discretly told about their candidature and final list would be out very soon.
