Amritsar, December 7- Two Security Guards of the Guru Nanak Dev University won two gold, three silver and one bronze medal in the 32nd Punjab Masters Athletics Championship for the year 2011-12 in the category of 45 to 55 years old.
Dr. Inderjit Singh, Registrar honoured Mr. Swaran Singh and Mr. Avtar Singh for their achievements. Col. Harbans Singh, Security Officer was also presents. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A.S. Brar and others also congratulated them for their achievement.
Mr. Swaran Singh (55 years) has won two gold medals in 5 km marathon and 10 km running event. He also won silver medal in 400 meter low header event.
Similarly, Mr. Avtar Singh (45 years), another security guard won two silver medals in short put and hammer throws. He also received bronze medal in discus throw.
