President of Miss Pakistan World Sonia Ahmed at KB DAV-7

Chandigarh, December 8; Today it was time for jubilation for young students to find amidst them founder of Miss Pakistan World Sonia Ahmed at KB DAV Sr. Sec. Public School, Sector 7, Chandigarh, where on her arrival Madhu Bahl, Principal of  the School honoured her with a phulkari shawl. The programme was organized by volunteers of Yuvsatta and Peace Club of School.
Introducing her Pramod Sharma, Coordinator of Yuvsatta said that Sonia, a Kuwaiti born Pakistani, is founder of Miss Canada Pakistan Inc. also known as Miss Pakistan World, Miss Pakistan World and Mrs. Pakistan World, and they are pioneer in the international beauty and talent pageant industry for Pakistan.
Sharing her ideas and dreams with the young kids Sonia Ahmed said that living in Canada she considers herself a driving force for the "progression” and "liberation" of Pakistani women on a global scale. She considers their event as a sort of civil rights movements with a mission to find positive, energetic role model’s who will represent and inspire the Pakistani youth within their great community as well as internationally.
When students asked her questions on India & Pakistan relationship she said that for a peaceful and stable South-Asia, people in both India & Pakistan should live as brothers. She further added that the situation in both countries has undergone a sea change. No longer are people willing to be mute witness to their futures being written and unwritten and destroyed by governments. And she sees lot of hope and confidence amongst young people who can become the agents of change.
