Amritsar, December 10– Dr. R. Lemuel Lasher, President and Chief Innovation Officer BSS-Global Business Solutions Group from America visited the Guru Nanak Dev University and delivered a lecture on Innovation and Consumerization of Information Technology and Next Generation at the short term course on Latest Trends of Computer Science held at Department of Computer Science. This course is being organized by the Academics Staff College of the University.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A.S. Brar presided over. Dr. R.S. Virk welcomed the chief-guest and others. Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Coordinator of the course detailed about the course and proposed vote of thanks. Mr. Neeraj Nityanand, Senior Vice-President, Business Development Solutions (BSS) from America was also present.
Dr. Lasher in his lecture talked about development in the field of networking, programming and applications of the internet. He said that there are lot of information is available on various search engines but to check the authenticity of that information is a big question. He said that experts are working to fight against hackers and malicious codes to make net using more reliable and safe.
Prof. Brar said that the development of technology must be utilized for the constructive purposes instead of destructive one. He said that without vision there is no innovation and vision and innovation are interrelated. He said that Guru Nanak Dev University would sign a MoU with Global Business Solution Group of America to provide training to the faculty and students in the field of computer science.
Vice-Chancellor also honored Dr. Lasher and Mr. Neeraj with a set of University Publications on this occasion.
