CHANDIGARH, DECEMBER 12: The Punjab Governor, Mr. Shivraj V. Patil today administered the oath of office, allegiance to the Constitution of India and secrecy to Lt. Gen. (Retd.) R.S. Sujlana as Chairman of Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) besides also administering oath to Mrs Amita Pandove, Mr. Bhai Rahul Singh Sidhu, Mr. Narinder Singh Sangha and Mr. Kulbir Singh Sandhu as members of the Commission at a brief but impressive ceremony held in the Banquet Hall of Punjab Raj Bhavan.
Meanwhile, the Chief Secretary, Mr. S.C. Aggrawal conducted the proceedings of the swearing-in-ceremony. Soon after being sworn in, Chairman and Members signed the oath which was counter-signed by the Governor. Prominent amongst others who attended the swearing-in-ceremony included Technical Adviser to the Punjab Government, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Mr. B.S. Dhaliwal, Principal Secretary to Governor, Mr. M.P. Singh, Secretary Personel, Mr. B.S. Sudan, Mrs. & Lt. Gen. S.R. Ghosh, Goc-in-C, Western Command, Lt. Gen. (Retd.),and Capt.K.J.S.Sujlana . Several senior civil and police officers were also present on the occasion. The family members, friends and well-wishers of newly appointed Chairman and Members were also graced the occasion.
