Chandigarh, December 13: Today, volunteers of Yuvsatta with support of FAO, Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore Foundation & Oxfam-India organized a painting contest on the theme of ‘Price Rise’ at the children’s library Kitabghar in Bapu Dham Colony, Chandigarh. Around 50 children of the area participated in the same.
Bringing out the best of their creativity the children’s of the area took keen interest in the contest and coloured sheets with their imagination and ideas. Later to motivate them Pallavi Kaushal, Youth Officer of Oxfam-India honoured them with certificates & prizes. Rinkle. Preeti, Aniket, Shailender & Prerna were declared winners of the contest.
One of the participants Shailender said that children have a right to participation and express concern on issues concerning them and the society.
