WINNABILITY, SUITABILITY AND LOYALTY TOWARDS PARTY TO BE THE SOLE CRITERIA FOR ALLOCATION OF PARTY TICKETS- BADAL

LAMBASTS STATE CONGRESS OVER ITS STOIC SILENCE ON GROSS INJUSTICE METED OUT TO PUNJAB BY CENTRAL CONGRESS LEADERSHIP
SUSTAINABILITY OF DEVELOPMENT PROCESS IS THE HALLMARK OF ANY PROGRESSIVE GOVERNMENT – BADAL
GURUSAR SATLANI (AMRITSAR) DECEMBER 13: Patron of Shiromani Akali Dal and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal today categorically said winnability, suitability and their contribution in terms of loyalty would be the sole criterion while deciding the allotment of party tickets to the aspirants for the upcoming assembly polls.
Talking to the newsmen before addressing a mammoth rally here today, Sardar Badal said the allotment of the tickets would be made within a month at an appropriate time after due deliberations with the senior party leadership.  Sardar Badal reiterated that the alliance between the SAD and BJP was firm like a rock because both the parties would contest the coming elections together. However he said keeping in view the victory prospects of the alliance a fresh seat sharing arrangement could be done in which leadership of both the parties would decide about exchanging some seats from where they have contested the elections in previous assembly polls. “The leadership of both the parties will decide the matter of seat sharing after thorough consideration” he added.
When asked to comment on the main poll plank of the SAD-BJP alliance, the Sardar Badal said unmatched development of the state along with the maintenance of the communal harmony and peace by the SAD-BJP government would be the main poll plank of the alliance. Sardar Badal also said their government had laid special focus on providing basic civic amenities to the people for which more than Rs 4000 crore have been spent by them in the cities. He also reiterated that during their tenure the government had not discriminated with any section of the society and had laid stress on overall development of the state.
Later addressing a massive gathering of Attari assembly segment, Sardar Badal made a scathing attack on the entire Congress leadership of the state for maintaining stoic  silence over the gross indiscrimination and injustice of the successive Congress led Union government with the state. He said it was unfortunate that despite of a huge contribution of the Punjabis in making the country self reliant in food production and its pivotal role as a sword arm of the country.   Apart from a glorious role in freedom movement of the country, the Congress led governments had meted out a step motherly treatment with them.
Sardar Badal said that nobody had ever expected that the tyrannies of the Congress governments would outnumber those done to the state during the rule of Mughals and British Raj in pre-independence period. Sardar Badal lamented that none of the Punjabi could ever forget the deeds of oppressive Congress regime which had undertaken attack on Sri Harmandir Sahib through Operation Blue Star and had killed thousands of innocent people in anti Sikh carnage of 1984. “We can never forget this prejudice which was done by the Congress regimes with the state. But the worst thing is that there is no end to it even today and the Congress is still irrelevantly meddling in our social, political and even religious affairs” he added.
Training his guns against the Congress led UPA government, Sardar Badal said that owing to the faulty policies of the centre government the industry and peasantry of the state has been ruined. He said due to the anti farmer stance of the Union government the farmers of state are indebted under a huge loan of Rs 30,000 crore. Contrary to it he said that the state government had safeguarded the interest of farmers by exempting them from payment of power bills of the tube-wells worth Rs 3800 crore. In the same manner Sardar Badal said that the tax holiday given by the Centre government to the neighboring states for setting up of the industry has resulted in the flight of industry from Punjab.
Sardar Badal said the coming assembly polls would decide the fate of the state as whether the people wants development as a policy of SAD-BJP alliance or political vendetta, unleashed  by the previous regime of Congress. He exhorted the people to vote and support the alliance for continuity of an era of unparalleled development in the state. “I am confident that you would show the door to the Congress during the forthcoming assembly polls to enable SAD-BJP alliance to accomplish its unfinished agenda to its logical end, because sustainability of development process is the hallmark of any progressive government ” he added.
Prominent amongst those who addressed the rally included Cabinet Minister Mr. Gulzar Singh Ranike, Lok Sabha MP Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu and former Union Minister Mr. Balwant Singh Ramoowalia.
