Chandigarh, December 15: Birthdays are a time for celebration and reflections. And today at Rock Garden, children’s of Bapu Dham Colony led by volunteers of Yuvsatta and supported by The Gurukul, Panchkula celebrated the 88th B’day of the creator of World famous Rock Garden Padam Shri Nek Chand in style. They danced, rejoiced and enjoyed the cake, sweets together. To make the day, ‘Bapu Dham Butterflies’ the dance team groomed by Yuvsatta & Oxfam-India performed on peppy numbers.
Appreciating the efforts of Yuvsatta for bridging the gaps for children’s from have-not segment of society Nek Chand shared that he feels very happy to receive greetings from these young children, who if groomed with little more care can make their name in the world, like Rock Garden.
Prominent amongst those who were present on the occasion includes Sanjay & Rajni Thareja from The Gurukul, Panchkula, Reeta Kohli, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, Pramod Sharma, Coordinator, Yuvsatta and V.P.Mehta, author of various books on city beautiful.
