HANDICRAFT MELA AT CENTRAL BANK

A handicraft mela was organized by Central Bank Of India at KP Complex, Near hotel Park Plaza, Ludhiana. The mela was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Sr. Deputy Mayor, Sh. Praveen Bansal. On this occasion around 20 handicraft artisans from all over the region participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. Among the items present at the mela were soft toys, murtis, hand-made embodied suits, clothes, gift itmes, decorative pieces, etc. Also, the event witnessed many Ludhianvis enjoying the mela and encouraging the participants. On this occasion the Deputy General Manager, Sh. Akbaraly expressed his views saying that the bank is organizing handicraft mela all over the country as a part of it’s centenary celebration today. Also, he said that the main motive behind this is to help the self help groups promote their products and sustain their livelihood.
The project co-ordinators of this event were Mr. Varinder Mittal and Ms. Ankita Kapoor, Asst Manager, Central Bank of India.
