Amritsar- December 18, 2011 (BharatSandesh News):– Jagjit Singh, a student of BA first year at local Khalsa College has broken a new record in the All India Inter-University Athletic Meet being held at Mangalore (Karnataka). He recorded his jump at 2.15 meters high while the earlier record was 2.11 meters. Khalsa College Sports Incharge, Bachan Pal Singh informed that Jagjit who is an upcoming athlete has brought laurels not only to the college and city but the state of Punjab by setting this new record. College Principal, Dr. Daljit Singh said that it is matter of great honour for the college and they would honour Jagjit for the achievement when he return home from the tournament in the next three-four days.
