Dr. Balwinder Singh of GNDU elected General Secretary ICA

Amritsar, December 22– Dr. Balwinder Singh from Commerce and Business Management of the Guru Nanak Dev University has been elected as General Secretary of Indian Commerce Association (I.C.A.).
The dawn of December 14, 2011 brought new hopes for the members and the votes were cast to infuse in the long awaited democracy into the association. Continuing the conventional practice of appointing the Conference Secretary as President of ICA, Ms Malabika Deo of Pondicherry University was formally nominated as the President for one year. Dr. P.T. Chowdhary from Maharashtra as the Executive Vice President, Dr. Sandip Bhatt from Gujarat as the Joint Secretary and Dr. Naval Kishore from IGNOU as the treasurer.
    Dr. Balwinder Singh, the new General Secretary who has been serving the professional causes earlier also as the Executive Member of ICA, National Coordinator of the All India Commerce and Management Talent Search Examination, Website Administrator and Coordinator of National Workshops on Research and Analysis, won the election with a comfortable margin of 27 votes.
He acknowledged the support and encouragement of all his fellow colleagues and assured his sincere efforts to stand up to the expectation of his peers and take the association to the pinnacle of professional glory and excellence. Believing in the strength of unity, he sought the continued support of all the members to make the long cherished dreams a reality.
