SAD-BJP GOVERNMENT ALL SET TO STAGE A COMEBACK
PEOPLE FED UP DUE TO THE MISRULE OF UPA GOVERNMENT
Jalandhar, December 24-
Patron of Shiromani Akali Dal and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal today slammed the Congress leadership for ignoring the interests of people of the state, for their vested ones.
Addressing a mammoth gathering during the Jan Vishwas rally organized by the BJP here today, Sardar Badal said it was unfortunate that ever since independence the Congress has always meted out a step motherly treatment with the state. He said that it was miserable that despite of making a remarkable contribution in the freedom struggle and later on in ensuring defence along with providing food security to the country, the successive Congress governments have left no stone unturned to ruin the state. However Sardar Badal said that during his whole political career spanning for more then six decades he had always vehemently fought against the injustices of the Congress government to ensure that the rights of the state are safeguarded. Training his guns at the Congress leaders of the state, he said that the present Congress leadership of the state was having a dubious character and they have been changing their sides by defecting from one party to another just for their own interests. “How can these people be faithful to you if they have not been loyal towards their own party’ he added.
Lashing out at the Congress led UPA government at the centre, he said that it was least concerned towards the problems of the people due to which the agonies of common man in the current tenure of the UPA has increased manifolds. Sardar Badal said that due to the anti people policies of the UPA the people were fed up from them and were waiting for teaching them in lesson in the coming assembly polls. Assailing the Union government for their failure in providing security to the common man, he said that there was complete chaotic situation in the country as the UPA government has totally failed to provide security to the people. Making a scathing attack on the UPA government Sardar Badal said that owing to the lapses in security of the borders on the one hand many precious lives were being lost in frequent bomb explosions across the country and on the other hand the Chinese intrusion in the territory of the country had posed serious question mark on sovereignty of the country. "The Union government has failed miserably on all the fronts and the people must get rid of it" added Mr Badal.
Listing out the spectacular achievements of the state government in the key areas of power, infrastructure, health and education at all levels be it school, college, university during the present regime of SAD-BJP, Sardar emphasized the need for continuity of the government for another term of five years in order to sustain the tempo of overall development on one hand and to complete the unfinished agenda on the other. He mentioned that the unprecedented development achieved by the SAD-BJP alliance during the present tenure was beyond comparison during the period of Congress regime, spanning over four-and-a-half decades. Sardar Badal said that the mammoth gathering at the rally indicated that on the one hand the people of state have reposed their faith in the pro-people policies of the state government and on the other it reflected that Punjabis are eagerly to hand over the power to SAD-BJP alliance once again. “The rallies at Moga and now at Jalandhar have proved that people of state have given verdict in the favour of pro people policies of the state government” added Sardar Badal.
During his address the National President of BJP, Sh Nitin Gadkari slammed the Congress led Union government for plundering the money of the tax payer through corrupt means. He said that it was unfortunate that the Union government was not disclosing the names of those people who have stashed their money in foreign banks solely because the names of many prominent Congress leaders figure in it. Sh Gadkari said that that infact the UPA government was shielding the Congress leaders by not making the list public. Terming the Congress led UPA government as anti farmers he said that due to the shortage of space for storing the food grains the harvest of the farmers was rotting in the country. Lauding the efforts of SAD-BJP alliance in providing the basic civic amenities to the residents of the state, Sh Gadkari said that due to the transparent administration provided by the alliance government and its pro-people policies they would certainly stage a comeback in the state by forming the government again.
Addressing the rally Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and senior BJP leader Sh Arun Jaitley slammed the Congress led UPA government for ruining the country. Sh Jaitley said that it was unfortunate that due to the wrong policies of the UPA government the economic condition of the country has shattered. Assailing the Union government he said that the government was lacking the decision making power due to which the people of country were suffering adversely. Sh Jaitley said that government was ignoring the voice of people a testimony of which is that it was all set to enact a weak Lok Pal Bill through which the government could appoint or remove it ay any stage of time.
On the other hand he said that the SAD-BJP alliance government of the state has ushered a new era of unmatched development of Punjab due to which the picture of state has changed. He said that owing to the pro-people policies of the state government and due to path breaking initiative taken by it, the people of state are all set to give their verdict in favour of SAD-BJP alliance in the coming assembly polls. “The huge gathering in this rally shows that SAD-BJP government will create a history by staging a comeback in Punjab” he added.
In his address National General Secretary of BJP and the former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sh Shanta Kumar said that wide scale corruption done by the present UPA government has made the country weak. He said that the present regime of the UPA was the most corrupt government of the country which was evident from the fact the most of the senior ministers of the UPA were behind gallows for their corrupt acts. Likewise he said that the Union government has miserably failed to keep a check on social and economic maladies like unemployment, poverty, inflation, illiteracy and corruption. He said it was the irony of fate that during of the rule of this party which came into power on the name common man 77 crore people are living miserable life with less than Rs 20 as daily income whereas 26 crore people were forced to live below the poverty line. He said the unmatched development of state carried out by the SAD-BJP alliance government along with welfare of poor people and transparent recruitment policies adopted by the state government really deserved an applause adding that by attending the rally in such a large number the people of state have given their verdict for making Sardar Parkash Singh Badal, the Chief Minister of Punjab again.
Meanwhile SAD President and Deputy Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal was also present on the occasion.
Prominent amongst those who were addressed the rally included, State BJP President Sh Ashwani Sharma, National President of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha Sh Anurag Thakur MP, Lok Sabha MP Sardar Navjot Singh Sidhu, Local Bodies Minister Sh Tikshan Sud and other senior leaders of SAD-BJP alliance.
