Patiala, 24th December, 2011: Kangaroo Kids Pre School, #25, New Officer’s Colony, Patiala celebrated Christmas and Annual Sport’s Day today.
Mrs Ravinder Grewal, an Australian educator, was the Chief Guest. The school was tastefully decorated, giving a feeling of Christmas celebrations, with the happy sound of pealing bells, lights sparkling everywhere, and hymns of joy and peace. Along with a decorated and illuminated Christmas tree, a decorated hut was also made depicting Lord Christ born in Mother Mary’s lap. Kids came in fancy dresses matching the occasion and performed a play “The Red Riding Hood”, and danced to the tune of the song, Jingle Bells. Santa Claus distributed gifts and candies to the children.
Students enjoyed fun sporting events at the school grounds, while the visitors’ race involving parents remained the highlight of the day.
Mrs Grewal is an exponent of teaching for understanding and she has been working closely with Harvard Graduate School of Education, Cambridge. She interacted with parents and teachers and was very appreciative of the excellent initiative taken by Kangaroo Kids Pre-School principal, Mrs Abhilasha Jagirdar. Mrs Grewal commented, ‘It is wonderful to see that a school in Patiala is adopting a philosophy of teaching that is being advocated in all educational institutions world wide’. She also congratulated the staff for the excellent organization of games, competitions, and the massive display of talent exhibited by the ‘littlies’ in their singing and dancing,
A thumbs up for the the Kangaroo Kids and the inspired leadership of Mrs Abhilasha Jagirdar. Keep skipping ahead!!!
