TOTTERING PPP GETS BIG JOLT AS GURMIT DADUWAL AND LAKHWINDER LAKHI JOIN AKALI DAL

JALANDHAR/TANDA/HOSHIARPUR, DECEMBER 24: The tottering ship of Punjab People’s Party today got a severe jolt as two founding leaders of PPP Mr. Gumeet Singh Daduwal and Mr. Lakhwinder Singh Lakhi today joined Shiromani Akali Dal in the presence of Party President Mr. Sukbir Singh Badal. Mr. Badal described today’s event as war bugle as rival candidates have understood the meaninglessness of PPP that was on verge of extinction.
    Mr. Gurmeet Singh Daduwal, Former SGPC Member and Member SSS Board, along with his hundreds of supporters rejoined Akali Dal unconditionally as his hundreds of supporters chanting Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal zindabad.
    Speaking after honouring Mr. Daduwal with a robe of honour, Mr. Badal said that it was their homecoming to their mother party and mother always gives equal treatment to her children. He said that Mr. Daduwal would continue to work for propagating Sikh tenets in the far flung rural belts and work aggressively for bringing back SAD-BJP combine in power for 25 years.
    Speaking at home town of Mr. Lakhi Gilzian, Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the leaders, who joined PPP with idealism have understood the hollowness of total experiment and now PPP was a single man party with no supporters. Mr. Badal said that SAD-BJP government was moving with the constructive development agenda whereas the rival parties have no plan for the development of state while the Captain Amarinder Singh has only destructive and vindictive agenda.
Mr. Badal said that besides Rs 19,000 crore refinery giving employment to 37,000 youth, Rs 15,00 crore Textile Park providing employment to 10,000 youth, the Punjab Government has provided regular employment to 1.17 lakh youth including 20,000 in police and 70,000 in education department. He said that SAD-BJP government has empowered the citizens by enacting historic Right To Service Act including 67 services, which would nip the corruption in the bud. Mr. Badal said that SAD-BJP government’s only mission was development coupled with transparency in the civil services and making civil servants accountable to the people.
    Prominent amongst those, who were present on the occasion included Mr. Hira Singh Gabria, Culture and Tourism Minister, Mr. Ajit Sigh Kohar, Revenue Minister, Punjab, Bibi Mohinder Kaur Josh, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Mr. Darshan Lal Jaithumajra, member SSS Board, Former Minister Mr. Balbir Singh Miyani, Mr. Jasjit Singh Thiara, Chairman Punjab State Health System Corporation and SAD Hoshiarpur Unit President Mr. Surinder Singh Bhullerathan.
