Amritsar, December 26– A Three-Week Refresher Course in Chemistry organized by the UGC Academic Staff College of the Guru Nanak Dev University concluded here today in the Academic Staff College.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. A.S. Brar preside over the valedictory function. Course Coordinator Dr. B.S. Randhawa welcomed the chief guest and others. Dr. Satish Verma, Director, Academic Staff College detailed the activities of the College. Dr. Subodh Kumar, Head of Chemistry Department presented vote of thanks on this occasion.
Prof. Brar while addressing the teacher participants said that role of chemistry is very important in our life. He said that teachers from colleges must engage themselves to active research according to the need of the industry. He said that many latest scitific instruments has been purchased for students of chemistry to help them in research. He hoped that teachers of this refresher course would disseminate their knowledge to the students to make this subject more interesting.
