LUDHIANA, DECEMBER 28:- Spraying techniques are important for efficient use of pesticides. Wrong methods of spraying leads to health and environmental hazards and their effect may not be desirable. Majority of the farmers do not follow proper spraying application techniques due to which pest control remains unsatisfactory. Dr. Gill suggested farmers to follow the recommendations of PAU and get advice from experts whenever needed. On this occasion, the PAU subject-matter-specialists provided tips to farmers participating in the camp on different aspects of weed management.  Farmers were shown round the demonstration plot, and exhibition.  Farmers interacted with experts and cleared their doubts. The panel of experts who served as resource persons included Dr Surjit Singh Gill, Dr Chandermohan, Dr Tarsem Singh, Dr Narinderpal Singh, Dr Paramjit Singh and Dr Bhupinder Singh Dhillon.
