CONGRESS PARTY DITCHED SIKHS ON ANAND MARRIAGE ACT-HARSIMRAT

Bathinda, January 6 : Member Parliament from Bathinda constituency, Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal today charged Congress party of ditching the Sikh community by  not introducing bill to enact Anand Marriage act, despite promise made Prime Minister and Union Law Minister.
            In a statement issued here today Mrs. Badal said that the Congress party has again exposed its anti Sikh and anti minority face by befooling the Sikh community on enactment of Anand Marriage Act. She said that Member Rajya Sabha Mr. Tarlochan Singh had introduced private members bill on Anand Marriage Act in last year’s session but Union Law Minister Mr. Salman Khurshid gave an assurance in the house that government would introduce government bill on Anand Marriage Act and asked him to withdraw the private member bill. She said that Punjab Pradesh Congress party Chief Capt. Amarinder Singh and their proxy voice Paramjit Sarna had been befooling the Sikh community again and again that he had a meeting with Union Law Minister and Prime Minister on this issue and Anand Marriage Act bill would be certainly introduced in the winter session. She said that the Congress led UPA got cleared many bills through voice vote in which they wanted to benefit multi national companies but never bothered to introduce this crucial bill in the winter session.
            She said that whole Sikh community kept waiting for the introduction of Anand Marriage Act bill in the Parliament with a bated breath but as the Parliament was adjourned sine-dine making it clear to whole Sikh community that Congress party would never be sincere to Sikh community.
            Accusing Congress party of treachery, Member Parliament said that Congress party has perfected the art of befooling the masses , it may be on the issue of Lokpal or Anand Marriage act. She said that to save the 10 Janpath from the heat of anti corruption Act of Lokpal the Congress party successfully ditched 1.20 crore people of India by scuttling the voting on Lokpal bill in Rajya Sabha. They have also ditched the sikh community by refusing to table Anand Marriage act.
            Reiterating the resolve of NDA to enact Anand Marriage act when elected to power Mrs Badal said that the days of Congress led UPA government were numbered and people are waiting to reinstall NDA in the Centre to get rid of most corrupt insensitive government from the Centre.
