Chakbaroke (Jalalabad), January 6 : Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal President Shiromani Akali Dal and SAD candidate for Jalalabad constituency promising world class health infrastructure for this border town of Jalalabad said that he would bring PGI like institution in next five years.
Mr. Badal was addressing massive rallies here at Singhewala, Bummeywala and Simarwala villages in which thousands of people braving fog, mist and intermittent rains came to listen the young Akali Dal President who changed the face of neglected border town. He said that he has focussed on improving the basic infrastructure of Jalalbad constituency during last three years and his focus was improving civic amenities including water supply, sewerage network besides construction of link roads to the villages. He said that he has also strived to provide sports infrastructure to constructively utilize the energies of youth and in the next term he would strive to bring world class industry in this region besides improving health infrastructure. He said that he had already requested Union government to sanction separate border area package so that multi national companies could be attracted to set up their ventures in this area to open new vistas of employment for the local youth.
Promising opening ceremony in Jalalabad town for next edition of World Cup Kabaddi Mr. Badal said that his only aim was to bring Jalalabad on world tourist map so that development could be focussed here. He said that his motto was to make Jalalabad equivalent to Chandigarh city so that every resident of the city should feel proud of this border town.
Thanking the local residents for their unprecedented love and affection Mr. Badal said that he was sure that seeing the massive response of the people, they would make him win this Vidhan Sabha election by a record margin of lakh plus votes.
Later talking to media Mr. Badal said that Congress list clearly reflect that they have ignored their grassroot level workers and long term party loyalists in favour of money bag culture. He said that SAD-BJP coalition is set to clinch more than 100 seats.
